The Visit To São Fransisco
We took the Women's team out to visit our small house church lead by Luiz and Cuca. It was a special time of fellowship and sharing.g

It was great to hear Luiz recant the story of São Fransisco and how this small church started. It has been a bold reach for the Kingdom with great personal sacrifice by our two church planters.
Luiz asked for prayer for his partner, Cuca, who is trusting in the providing hand of our God. Work has been difficult to find in São Fransisco. Cuca has tried running a small store, electronic repair service, computer typing service and a few other things. All of which have failed. He switched to commuting into a near by town for a shot time and then tried working in the big city, Belem, spending 4 days in the city- 3 days at home. None of this seem to work out.
Cuca has decided to just stay in São Fransisco and work out of his home repairing cell phones. He is a whiz at electronics so he will do well but the volume of business is the problem in this small community.
Pray for Cuca & Lydia and their two children, that the Lord will provide enough work in town for the family's sustenance and be a witness to the community as to how God can provide under these circumstances.
This is our first house church planted by a tent maker evangelistic team. Both Luiz and Cuca work for a living and minister in their off hours.

Pray For Israel
Israel is the name of a man sleeping in the boat named “Salmo 46”. He is not a believer.

The Lord arranged for us to have a nice chat with him through circumstances out of our control. The Holy Spirit has opened numerous opportunities for members of our evangelistic team to talk with Israel at his boat.
It is amazing to me how events can open doors. In this particular instance we had beached our 23' fishing boat near his, only to have the tide rush out before we tied it down. With no anchor in hand or place to tie off this was a problem.
The high tide was set for 2AM so around 9pm we waited by our boat for Israel, because we noticed he had a few anchors he was not using at the moment. He returned around 10pm and was glad to help. We chatted for over an hour as we waited for the tide to return enabling us to move our boat to a safer mooring area using his anchors.
We talked about his life, dreams and spiritual matters. He expressed his fears of the voices he hears in the dark and the spiritual battle as he understands it, which does not included God. So pray that the Lord will open more opportunities to build a friendship that will lead to an opportunity to study the Bible.
