In May of 2007 we saw the first baptisms at this point of light. These six individuals are the foundation for a slowly growing house church. This effort is lead by Val and Edevaldo who are brothers that grew up in Capitão Poço. They found Christ in the Big City (Belem) and we have been helping they take the Gospel message back home.
Luiz & Fatima own a fruit stand three blocks off the main street in town. They have used this as a contact point to reach those in the community. In December 2007 we saw a new couple baptized into faith in Jesus Christ. This is an exciting addition to the slow growing family of believers.
Peri-Meri has now moved into a new stage of life. It is a fledging house church meeting under a coconut tree. In May of 2007 we had the opportunity to see four new believers baptized into the faith. It was an exciting time with singing and their first time 3 fold communion celebration. 
The soil of this town is ready for planting but there are no labors. Our greatest problem is finding people to go into this town on a regular basis. We need prayer warriors to pray for this target on a regular basis. Our God will move is we seek Him and call upon His name.
