We are all like sheep who have gone astray. You have heard these words over and over if you grew up in the church. Jesus compared mankind to sheep, that dumb animal. His passion was to save the lost sheep. You should know the story! In the story, Jesus is willing to leave the heard of sheep in the open field to go in search of the one lost lamb. As you look out on the street at your neighbors do not see a crowd but focus on just one lost person who needs Jesus to transform their life. To save them from an eternity of Hell where there are weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The passion of Jesus is to save the lost, not build fancy buildings or make you live a comfortable life. It is all about taking the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus to the people around you who do not know Him. Even though we are in the middle of a pandemic COVID-19, the calling is still the same. Jesus asks us to take up our cross daily and follow Him. That part about taking up the CROSS means that we are to follow Him unto our death, to risk it all for Christ.
