One fact you might not know, Brazil is a major producer of chocolate. The Brazilian state we live in is home to this chocolate industry which means we have big names like, Hershey and Nestlé, but many of the chocolate farms are family-owned enterprises. Once a year there is a chocolate convention in town that attracts chocolate producers from all over Brazil and from other parts of the world.
Ellen enjoys taking a day to attend the convention, for a taste of chocolate. These producers all have tiny bars of some of their premium chocolate for sale, just to give you a flavor of their brand of chocolate. Oh, and there are free samples too. In the display areas, they have chefs preparing chocolate sculptures, birds, houses and models. All made from premium chocolate. It is quite an extravaganza. If you like chocolate this is the place to be.
